Below the western end of Creag nan Uamh, a well-developed channel runs halfway up the talus slope from the seasonally dry Allt nan Uamh to the crag. Towards the lower end of the channel (below Otter Hole), under a rock step is the entrance crawl to lowweer Otter Hole. This oppens into a roomier crawl for 7 m. Ther passage then closes down, and after a few more metres of awkward crawling subdivides and becomes too tight. Below the entrance, almost at valley floor level and still within the channel, is another small aperture. Sometimes referred to as Lowest Otter Hole, it is barely penetrable.
