Mine (Coal), late-19th & 20th cent.

One of five closely-spaced mine mouths to parallel adits which were inclined to the ESE & accessed extensive longwall workings in multiple coal seams. Given coordinates are for the No.1 mine mouth, treated/sealed in 1962.
