A small intertidal cave formed at the base of the NE face of the promontory on which Findlater castle was built on its SW side. It has a wide (ca 6 m) mouth which is triangular. There is a low level small extension. It may be approached by sea from the NW when the tide is 1.9 m ACD or more.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Access: by sea: westward from Sandend harbour. Tide level above 1.9 m ACD and low NW swell.
By land: this is likely to be possible at low tide from the beach on the east side.
