Canmore ID 56877. NT61NW 11 6467 1841. (NT 6467 1841) Lintalee Cave (NR) (Site of). OS 6" map, (1917-38). Lintalee Cave has been destroyed, but it is said to have consisted of 'three apartments, one on each hand of the entrance, and a larger one behind, which had the appearance of a great room.' (OSA 1791).
RCAHMS 1956. Lintalee Cave: a small cave hewn out of the solid sandstone of a 100' high rocky precipice. 'It is supposed that one of the Douglases frequently concealed himself in this cave during the harder frays'. Name Book 1859. No trace of this cave now remains and an accurate siting could not be established. Visited by OS (RD) 6 February 1967.
