High on the mountainside in Coire Mulrooney, this and the other caves in the group are probably best approached by contouring round and up from Uamh Coire Sheileach. The large entrance lies in the side of a steep five metre deep depression with a waterfall on the opposite side. It is 65 m south-south-west from Owl Hole.
Within a couple of metres of the entrance, the passage turns sharply to the right and narrows to a rift with daylight visible above. After a three metre easily climbed cascade the roof lowers and a wet crawl in the stream leads through to a higher section. This has an inlet waterfall on the right and lowers to a flat out crawl over shingle in the stream straight ahead. Though daylight can be seen, the way on is too tight. The floor is easily dug and a way could quickly be made to emerge at the resurgence in a small gorge.
When UCLSS surveyed the cave, they noted a side passage near the entrance, The thought this might have connected with Owl Hole, though it is now blocked.
Alternative Names: Main Stream Cave
Notes: Explored UCLSS 1972. Surveyed Grade II.
