This appears to be a generic reference to caves or subterranean passages north and south of Tremuda Bay. There are no known caves at the position marked (in the middle of a wide rocky bay at the foot of steep cliffs with promontories north and south). There are also 2 sea caves on the east end of Tremuda (in addition to the Subterraneous Passage) and a further two sea-caves W of the N end of the Tremuda Subterraneous Passage.
On the coast about 1½ miles south of Stonehaven. At the southern end of the bay there is The Long Gallery (cave/tunnel) .
Alternative Names: None recorded.
