Mine
A disused mine and adit are marked on current O.S. maps. A square building is also marked at NN 33633 33054. [WoSAS]
This working consists of an adit driven on the northern extension of the mineral vein exploited at Sron nan Colan. [Canmore]
Discoveries on Beinn Odhar were followed by finds beside the Crom Allt (then the Auchinturin Burn). Workings are shown on a plan of 1791 at the eastern foot of Beinn Bheag along the strike of the main mines at Tyndrum. The most important mines were at Coronish but trials were made along the Hard & Clay veins on Beinn Bheag and Beinn Odhar.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Aerial photographs show a spoil heap slightly west of the given coordinates [NN 33560 33095].
