The largest of three seacaves at the end of a geo open to the ESE and the only one visible from the entrance to the geo.

It is a vertical rift cave. It is likely to be navigable by kayak in the range 1.4 to 2.5 m ACD tide level, in very low swell. See photo 4.

"A small natural cavern under the cliff, on the coast, frequented by Seals, during Stormy weather." (1)

"during stormy weather" is a bit hard to understand since the inlet looks as if it would be dangerous for seals in an easterly gale.

Alternative Names: None recorded.

Notes: Access: by sea N from Cove Bay harbour.

VR estimated by Nigel Feilden from a photo and a cliff height of 20m; length is a visual estimate.
