A very wide mouthed - 27.5 m - intertidal cave.
It is the widest mouthed cave on the Moray/N Aberdeenshire coast and the East Aberdeenshire/Angus coast down to Arbroath.
Given that Roddoch Bow is a vertical rift cave, only 15 m or so to the east, and there are vertical rifts to the east of that, it is remarkable that this cave appears to have no vertical cracks or joints perpendicular to the cliff line. There is a parallel to cliff line joint - see photo 3.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Access: From Cummingston Seaview Rd carpark, go down to the shore and go left past CM1 until you get to an angle in the cliff, where Roddoch Bow N entrance is, then (at low tide) go round the cliff until the cave opens up to view.
