A sink into limestone under a small cliff on the Gabbro boundary, opens into a wide open cave. Crawling over limestone chunks leads into a hands and knees passage walled with jagged flakes of cream and black colouration. Seven metres further in a sharp left hand corner signals a lowering of the roof but the passage continues until silt and gravel appear to form an end point at a 2nd left turn where the water ran downslope into impenetrable passage. On the surface, a flood overflow tube in the same depression, also running downvalley was not entered, but looks caveable.
Fluorescein turned the system green, and within a steady count to 77, it spouted forth from a bouldery rising a very short distance downhill. The explored end of the cave lies very close to this issue.
Alternative Names: Boundary Sink
Notes: For all its shortness worth a visit for its picturesque qualities.
