Sink/cave. Low passage in a riverside outcrop that becomes excessively arduous after a few metres. Entry not recommended.

At the north end of a low limestone scar, water sinks into a low arch and can be penetrated (just) for 5 metres before becoming totally disgusting. A couple of metres further along the cliff an excavated hole drops into a low passage extending due west away from the river bed. Three metres of level mud end at a flooded low crawl which stops at a blockage some two metres further on. At this point there is no direct evidence of running water from the sink point. The cave continues as a too-small, vertical rift. Between them, these two entrances comprise Endless Cave, explored by Roger Brandon in 1981. Mysteriously Brandon 1981 ascribes a length of 61 m to this system, and his account certainly hints a series of obstacles for which there is no room in what there has been seen since (in 1991 and 2003). It is of course entirely possible that the wet entrance has since shingled up with subsequent blockage of the interior of the `dry' series. (Oldham 2006)

Alternate Names: AA10, Uamh Neochrìochnach, Uamh Neochriochnach, As Eugmhais Crioch (Uamh), Uamh As Eugmhais Crioch, Cave Without End

Notes: Formerly erroneously known as Uamh Eugmhais Crioch, it has been renamed as the Infinite Cave in a context that reflects physical space rather than time. (Oldham 2006)

A large shakehole is present immediately west of the riverside outcrop ridge.
