A Cave on the east Coast of the Island of Scarba ΒΌ of a mile north east of Maol Buidhe and north of port nan Sliseag Sig;- [Signification] "Lad's Cave" [OS Namebook]
This should probably be lads' (plural dative) - hence the cave of a number of unspecified lads. It is not clear whether this means young boys or stablehands (Gillies) who could be young boys or older men.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Measured by Chris Scaife in June 2024.
