Collapse of west bank on bend in River Traligill upstream of the waterfall above Lower Traligill Cave (down stream of Sink 1).
In moderately wet weather, a considerable amount of the surface stream disappears down this sink. Floodwater in the river above the waterfall disappears down a holes in unstable boulders under the gravel bank of the stream. This was investigated by diverting stream and digging down at least 2 m where water continued to sink into kloose boulders. The river bank above is very unstable and the hole has since infilled due to the silt and gravel.
Alternate Names: None recorded.
Notes: There is no known connection to the downstream river system so the connection must be below the level of the known caves.
