A supratidal cave whose E wall is the W side of a near vertical basalt dyke facing NE by N. It is at the end of a fairly long geo whose E wall is the dyke.

Photo 1 shows this cave on the right. It also indicates that the camera position was reached by land. Note that 'Quartz dolerite' is an older equivalent of what BGS now calls microgabbro and basalt. It is part of the Central Scotland Late Carboniferous tholeiitic dyke swarm.
