Modern limestone mine slightly further north, where the road bends east past Fleecefaulds. Named Hall Teasses Limestone Mine, this site is situated just north

of Teasses, also worked the brecciated St Monan's Limestone and was in operation from 1979 until 1987 (the abandonment plan being signed in October of that year). The workings are tiny in comparison to the likes of nearby Cults, Ninelums or Cousland, but still remain an interesting visit in their own right.

The mine is located at the south-eastern end of narrow open cast workings and was accessed via two parallel adits, both large enough to comfortably accommodate a fairly large truck or tractor. This roadway is lined with steel RSJ props for roof support and appear to be in reasonable condition with the original green paint still visible on many of them. The road slopes downhill for about 50 m or so before meeting the roadway from the western adit which effectively forms a cross-cut in the mine. At this point the workings dip steeply and are flooded, preventing further interior exploration. If memory serves, a float switch pump can be seen bobbing around on the water surface. The only option at this point is to follow the western oadway back toward the surface. This section is slightly longer than the eastern one and intersects older workings which have been sealed off with a brick wall. The offshoot to these workings houses an air receiver tank, presumably used for powering pneumatic drills. This tank has an outlet leading into the bricked-up workings. [Jeffries & Barz]
