Craobh Sheileach (Uamh)

Skye, Allt nan Leac, Invernessshire.

Cave. Highest of row of 4 shakeholes diagonally down N side of Allt nan Leac from NE to SW. Wet weather sink, may need digging out. 2 m descent through boulders drops to triangular chamber, 3 m long. At far end, tight squeeze down leads to 4 m climb dropping to narrow walking height passage. Gently descends & swings right to end abruptly in blank wall with gravel choked bedding plane at base.

Notes: Explored but not named by NPC, 1968. Relocated & explored by MSG, 1971. 'Re‑discovered' & surveyed by SUSS, 1974, named Eagle Cave.

Previously confused with Coire Sheileach, Uamh.
