The largest entrance of this group ( about 4 m by 2.5 m) - the smaller Bone Caves - lying to the east of a prominent gulley splitting the Creag nan Uamh cliff some way above the main footpath. A level floor stretches back for 3 m to where the roof plunges steeply into the course, angular sediments.

Some bones were found on the surface in the small alcove at the back of this cave in 2011, including the skull and some pinion bones of a Golden Eagle (Aquila chrystaetos) from which the cave derives its modern name.

A small solutional hollow exists just below and round the corner from Eagle Cave but this is unlikely to indicate a choked cave.

Alternate Names: Creag nan Uamh Bone Cave [7]
