Cave marked on OS map.
Uamh Ròn- A small cave at the base of the Cliff opposite the above [Ceann na' h-Otha]. ''Seals Cave''. [ScotlandsPlaces]
Estimated length 45m, width 6m and height 8 m, based on kayak visible in photo 3.
At the inland end of the cave is a small shingle/cobble beach where the roof drops gradually to become too low and the way on is blocked by flowstone and what appears to be a lobster creel. Flowstone appears to emerge from horizontal bedding planes to form banks of calcite.
Alternative Names: Uamh Ron, Uamh Rhon, Seal Cave
Notes: Ceann na' h-Otha - A prominent round hill feature overlooking the Sea, about 1 1/2 North of Dunbeath. on E. [East] side of Main Road. [ScotlandsPlaces]
Access: by sea either south from Latheronwheel harbour or north from Dunbeath harbour.
