Mine (limestone), 18th Century?
'Old Mine to Lst' marked on 1921 geol. survey map. Site at slope just NE of building on N side of the Shank Burn. Condition unknown.
Alternative Names: Millcroft
Notes: Not shown on any OS maps, but marked on MRA map.
Mine plotted on band containing "Dark ferruginous Lst 8' (Castlecary)". Multiple old kilns shown in local area on old OS maps (e.g. NS 7514 7178).
