Tunnel, Hydro-electric scheme.

Extends NE from outfall to approx. [NN 6025 4327], then E to Meall a' Choire Leith area where it connects with an aqueduct.

Alternate Names: None recorded.

Notes: Given length approx, based on SSE overview map that shows NE tunnel extremity terminating at connection with aqueduct, to W of Allt a' Chobhair (in Coire Leith). However, no obvious intakes (nor significant streams) are seen at Coire Leith, and a dammed intake is seen on OS maps along the Allt a' Chobhair at [NN 6240 4297] at 540m alt.

A small dam on the Allt a' Chobhair at [NN 62531 45383] is consistent with the SSE map's aqueduct starting point, although this point has an altitude of the 390m and the ground level downflow of the aqueduct (as shown on SSE map) rises significantly higher >500m (i.e. tunnel extension / map error?).
