Tunnel, Hydro-electric scheme.

Extends from Loch an Daimh to Stronuich Reservoir via Cashlie power station. The tunnel's inlet is located at Giorra Dam, which has a control tower containing roller gates to isolate the tunnel. This extends SSE, passing under the Allt Ruighe Ghiuthas where a dammed intake is present at [NN 5184 4453] After the main tunnel connects with a covered surge shaft at [50625 42645], the outfall point (at given coordinates) is at a pump house where the tunnel mouth is connected to an inclined surface pipeline that leads to the powerhouse below. The station itself has no significant tailrace tunnel, with the waters entering the Stronuich Reservoir immediately beside the powerhouse at [5070 4213].
