Mine (Fireclay, & Cement?).

Moderate-scale fireclay workings in Glenboig Fireclay & Cement Fireclay seams. Adit appears to be buried below rear garden of a property along Haldon Grove. Subsurface workings are limited to areas located N to SE of Glenboig Farm as a 'barrier zone' separated these workings from those of the Star Pit to the W.

Alternative Names: Glenboig No.2 Mine

Notes: Glenboig & Cement fireclay seams are 84" & 45" thick, respectively.

Given coordinates, derived from BGS GeoIndex, are for the main mine mouth. An 'Air Mine' adit was located at [NS 72751 69218], now also blocked to rear of house (on Sherwood Rd).
