An impressive, rift-like entrance extending to the full height of the workings, lies below and just adjacent to the public footpath extending from the car park half a mile eastwards, up into the Silver Glen proper. This rift is closed off by a metal fence, & access to the upper level requires a ladder belayed to trees across the path above.
