Western section of now demolished culvert built in the early 1950s along the line of the Tollcross Burn to allow the construction of prefab housing. The culvert ran mostly along the line of Blackford Pace beteween Blackford Cresscent and Ardgay Street. The culvert was removed between 2018 and 2021 as part of the Tollcross Burn Daylighting Project which reestablished the open stream between Loch Lochay St and Blackford Place. The open streem now flos under a bridge at Balbeggie Street and enters a new inlet just east of the lane east of Strowan Crescent.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: The lane east of Strowan Crescent pre-dates all the other construction in the area. Before 1910 it ran through open fields from Park Place at Eastmuir (nothe east lodge of Culross Street off Shettleston Road) to the east lodge of Sandyhills House. The lane crossed the open stream on a footbridge,
