Shaft site & associated bing now covered by area woodland. Possibly associated with the Castlehill pit (Site #9974) to the NE; cf. air shaft later used for production.

Notes: Geol. Survey map states 21 fms [38m] to Raesgill Ironstone. Air shaft noted beside this point on 1864 OS map, & probably-abandoned bing depicted on 1897 ed.
