Mine (Coal), mid-19th cent.
Small-scale workings in the Overton Gas Coal at 30 fathoms [55m], measuring ca. 140m from SW to NE. Mine plan shows B9037 road passing over the centre of the worked area that was surveyed in January 1867 (post-1st ed. OS map). Shaft now buried below field on W edge of Blairhall.
