Mine (Coal), mid-20th cent.
Site of mine mouth that was treated in 2005 and is situated in woodland. This accessed a NE-trending roadway in the Swallowdrum Coal that was effectively a SW continuation of the Macfend Loco Mine from Glassee Coal workings located ca. 0.8 km farther NE. A complex labyrinth of Swallowdrum workings branched from this adit. See mine plan S526.
