Raised beach sea cave with the remnants of a drystone wall at the entrance.
Cave Dwelling, Rocks of the Garheugh There are several shallow caves on this bit of the coast. During the period between the wars, and I think into the 1950s, some of them were inhabited by tramps, who built up walls at the entrance to provide some additional shelter from the elements.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Garheugh appears to be a popular spot for rock climbers and boulderers so do not be surprised when looking for this tiny sea cave if you see climbers in full harnesses. No climbing is needed unless you want to.
