130 m above Loch a' Bhealaich Leamhain on steeply sloping S side of Geal Charn (1049 m). Lives up to name. Park at Moy Bridge on A86, 1 km (½ mile) W of Loch Laggan. Walk forestry tracks round to Loch na h-Earba then SE & over col to S of Geal Charn. Halfway along N side of Loch a' Bhealaich Leamhain(Loch of the Pass of the Elms) follow stream uphill. Entrance impossible to spot from below (in gulley facing uphill). 4 m wide (full width of gulley), 3 m high, engulfs stream flowing down gulley. Passage descends at 45 deg. over unstable clean washed boulders taking large volume of water in flood conditions. 9 m in on left, passage opens upwards for 5 m to cluster of 'hanging death' boulders. Main passage narrows to 2 m wide increasing in height then widens to 3 m before termination 20 m from entrance. Stream sinks in nearly level floor of small scree. Near end small passage on left ascends into roof & connects with 'hanging death' area. Small hole at foot of passage connects back to main passage. Trio of resurgences 100 m downstream. Small cave in boulders halfway between entrance and risings. Passage shaped like inverted L, each leg 3 m long, widest (1.5 m) at junction of L. Small sink a few metres to E. More shakeholes at similar altitude on N side of Geal Charn. Nov-May entrance may be filled with snow.
