Generic
The Pentland hills run in a relatively narrow band from just north of Biggar to just south of the City of Edinburgh. The northern limits of the Pentlanss being defined by the A720 City Bypass. To the west is the A70 and to the east is the A702. The southern edge is defined roughly by the A721 between Carnwath and Elsrickle.
