Souterrain.
Well-preserved prehistoric souterrain (earth house) with small entrance that can be obscured by vegetation. Located just 10m south of the A838 road and c. 30m SW of the Allt Port Chamuill, marked by two small roadside cairns. Another marker is a stone slab beside the entrance that it previously covered. Although the site was drained ca. 1930, much of the passage is commonly flooded. It comprises a 3m-long narrow entrance section with twelve steps leading down into a low 8m-long curved gallery lined by stone walls.
Alternative Names: Port Chamuill Souterrain, An Leabaidh-fholaich, An Tigh Fo Thalaidh, Port na Con Souterrain, Portnancon Souterrain
