This names applies to cave in the western shore of Stoneykirk and situate near to the south side of Strandfoot it is well known by the names given" There is a cave near the bay of Float called the Good Wife's Cave which has a very remarkable echo." Stat. acct. Vol. 2 Page 56 [OSA/Chalmers]
