A huge mass of red sandstone conglomerate on the Links of Cullen. There is a small cave in it used as a fold for Sheep. In some documents this object is termed Boat Craig, but Boar's Craig is the invariable name by which it is known in Cullen. [Scotland's Places]
Alternative Names: Bore Craig Cave, Boat Craig Cave
Notes: Below Farskane there is a large mass of conglomerate rock, called the Boar's Craig. This seems a corruption of Bior Creag, 'the high pointed rock'. The rock in question is not pointed now - it is rather massive and round, but climate might have altered its original appearance. [K'nocker]
