Cave marked on OS maps southwest of Back Berry point at the inland end of an un-named geo between Finnies Haven and Narrow Geo immediately to the northwest and Back Berry point to the northeast.
A geo southeast of Back Berry point is marked on OS map as Seal Cave Hole.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Finnies Haven (to the northwest) is possibly the nearest landing point to a cave at ND361779 (Back Berry Cave), but even if it is, it is not closely associated. The archaeological features mentioned by Mowat (but not recorded on Canmore) could indeed have provided the motivation for the name. Alternatively, the specific may be the genitive of ON masc. anthro. Finnr. [Morgan]
