Generic reference to caves on Beinn Dubhcraig.
The valley of Strath Fillan stretches from Tyndrum to Crianlarich. The main band of limestone is exposed in the river beds particularly the River Fillan where it crosses the A82. The limestone band rises up Beinn Dubhcraig and crosses the north ridge.
A few small caves (Window Cave, Resurgence Cave & Top Sink Cave) are near summit of Beinn Dubhcraig (977 m), 7-5 km (5 miles) west of Crianlarich in a limestone band in the north-east corrie. 2 km south of Tyndrum on the A82, up a farm track opposite a school marked on the 1:50,000 OS map. An old sand quarry provides parking. Follow the old main road across a bridge and turn upstream. Cross the railway onto a dirt road then follow a path on the right to a footbridge. Cross and follow the path upstream. Cross two stiles over deer fences and continue along the path beside a river past a double waterfall to a third stile. Bear right after a few hundred metres to a small ridge at about 700 m (2300 ft).
The caves are in a diagonal line uphill to the right. They are easier to see when descending from summit, so follow the north ridge down to 800 m & look down into corrie. Thecluster of shakeholes is easily seen.
