Mine/pit (ironstone), Quarry (limestone).
Treated shaft labelled as 'Old Pit (Ironstone)' on 1864 6" OS map, now situated in area of derelict ground adjacent to Faskin Road.
Just west of this pit, limestone was quarried on Hurlet Hill where it was mined from the top of the hill to the east (Type 2A clamp kilns used).
