"Mined until 1914 from adit" [Nisbet], and labelled as 'Waukmill Mine (Cement, Stone & Coal) on 1946 OS map (rev. 1938).
Alternate Names: Lyoncross, Lyncross
Notes: This is probably the 'Lyncross' locality mentioned by S. Nisbet (referring to former Lyoncross farm nearby). However, the MRA map shows an additional adit slightly N at [NS 5212 5816], hence Nisbet comments could potentially relate to a neighbouring site.
