Mine (Fireclay), 20th Century.
"c. 1967 - The fireclay mine at Carrington was purchased by the Bonnybridge Refractories Limited. Issues with water levels within the mine and the cost of transporting the clay back to Bonnybridge soon proved too problematic and the mine was closed down soon after purchase."
