Wide undercut in small rock promontary. 10 m wide, 8 m high triangular entrance narrows back into the rock 5 m from the drip line into a 2 m wide, 1.5 m high slot with a shallow cover of cobbles over a solid stone floor.

The name Burragaig appears to be a corruption of Geodha na Burralaich, which means Cove of the Howling/Wailing.
