A recent collapse of ground on the steep slope above the E-facing cliff edge has revealed a linear trench 3m long x 1.5m wide x 1m deep that connects to the W with a small cave-like hole c4 x 4 x 1m high with an arched profile. The hole, which has been excavated into the natural glacial till, has a level floor but no internal features. It may be a smugglers' store or 'brandy hole'. The site was observed on 29 September 2018. [John Pickin]
