Sea cave in WNW facing cliff looking WNW toward the Clett, west of Holborn Head. There is a gloup (18 m long and about 3 m at its widest) part way along the cave tunnel.

Notes: Access: by land - the entrance is visible from the cliff to the west of it. Can be reached via a footpath from beside Scrabster lighthouse.

OS Namebook for Caithness, vol 11, parish of Thurso p38 has: "Burn mouth - Applies to a nook in the cliff over which a small burn falls, and at the bottom of which is the entrance to two large caves." This is not one of those two.
Photo 1 is a view of the WNW facing cliff. The entrance to this cave is not visible - hidden behind the corner of the jutting out cliff which has two Burn Mouth South cave entrances on its right.
