Cave with entrance wall and shell midden at Doire na Drise.
Doire na Drise was surveyed in 2013 by Rough Bounds Archaeology et al. Site 15. To the west of Site 14 (MHG59756) at about 100 mtrs and into the basalt cliff, another cave with a shell midden on the floor and a protective low wall across the entrance. A very small shieling type structure was seen on the east side of this narrow bay may have been a kelp store. Site not visible on aerial photographs so location approximate. Grid reference in report appears to be too far to the east. Shieling type structure not visible on aerial photographs.
Alternative Names: None recorded.
