The Kettle (cave E of)

A tall, relatively narrow vertical rift cave with a gloup 4m dia a few m from the entrance. Is kayak navigable near HWS and in low swell.

Length measured 6/4/24 by N Feilden. Altitude is ACD and is an estimate - having lost my sounding measure overboard in Black Cove (1) a little earlier.

An Excursion Guide to the Geology of the Aberdeen Area by N H Trewin, B C Kneller & C Gillen, 1987, p 56-7, excursion 1, locality 2 has lamprophyre in the N face of the cliff of the Kettle (although that inlet is not named in the text).
