CI53a entrance estimated ~3 m wide at waterline with ceiling at ~8m ACD. About 10 m within the cave the passage connects to the tunnel formed by CI52d. [Report 1145]

The south west end of a short tunnel running about NE into the south end of Sheep Rock. It is NE of two through tunnels, which are joined in the middle for about 1/3 of their length.

Alternative Names: None recorded.

Notes: The length is estimated as follows: 119 + 116 (end to end lengths of CI52d and CI52c) - 39 (estimated shared length inside) + 10 m (Rpt 1145 estimated length of this CI53a tunnel) + 5 (estimate of the distance between the two tunnels CI53a and CI52d).

VR is an estimate, as is the altitude which is ACD.
