Cave marked on OS map, at the base of a sea cliff, west of Rubha na h-Uamha-saile and Poll na h-Uamha Moire, and northeast of Creag Mhor na h-Uamha-saile.
Alternate Names: Seawater Cave, Saltwater Cave
Notes: Uamh Shaile - Applies to a narrow creak on the Sea coast a ¼ of a mile S.W. [South West] from the Junction of Garbh-uisge Mòr with the sea. Meaning, "Sea or saltwater cave." [ScotlandsPlaces]
Garbh-uisge Mhòr - The great rough water. A stream or river running in a narrow ravine into Poll na h-Uamha Moire.
Rubha na h-Uamha-saile - Point of the Saltwater Cave.
Poll na h-Uamha Moire - Pool of the Great Cave. Uamh Mhòr a' Gharbh-uisge (the great cave of the rough water) is about 500 m to the east.
Creag Mhor na h-Uamha-saile - Great Crag of the Saltwater Cave.
