Rock shelter, Dig.
Notable dig location found just south of the old manse at the head of a small gully (NC 394 676). A c.1.5-wide x 0.5m high low crawl entrance at the base of an outcrop closes down after 1m, choked with boulders in soil which could well be worth further exploration. A void can be seen trending SE. [I. Greig]
Alternative Names: None recorded.
Notes: Gully mentioned (6 fig NGR) is formed along fault separating the Croisaphuill & Durine formations. Small rounded quartzite boulders are present within, possibly suggesting washed-in material from former stream down gully, although use as a store for field rock clearance cannot be ruled out.
