Ironstone (& Coal?) Mine, 19th Century.
Now-buried 67 fathoms-deep shaft to extensive workings in Dalry Blackband Ironstone seam, contiguous with workings from No.31 pit at its E end where it partially undermines East Mains. See layout in abandonment plan (see refs). Shaft site now buried below rough grass / shrubland at S margin of extensive / overgrown bing structure.
