Shaft site probably buried beside golf green, adjacent to overgrown remnant bing.

Notes: "Iron Mine" depicted as being operational on 1st Ed. OS map. Geol. Survey map states "C.SB at 48 fms" [Crofthead Slatyband Ironstone at 88 m].
Given 8 fig. NGR location based on OS georef' tool (using geol. survey map). MRA map places shaft just SW at wooded mound, but this may be the associated bing.
