Mine adit labelled at W end of quarry face on govt survey / abandonment plan (see links section below). Pillar-and-stall workings extended E-W (parallel with, and opening onto quarry face) for almost 200 m, albeit shallow in depth (only two rows of pillars). Site now lost due to infill of quarry, with probable infill of passageway due to its shallow nature.

A tramway tunnel associated with a haulage road for the mine (linking the quarry with the Caledonian Cement Works to the N) was located immediately W of the westernmost entrance. The site of the tunnel's NW portal is at the end of a line of trees at [NT 3757 6869].

Notes: Operated by British Portland Cement M. Ltd, abandoned in 1923.
