Mine (Coal, & Ironstone?), 1860-1925.

Multiple seams mined. Probably wrought blackband ironstone when the colliery came under ownership of the Glasgow Iron (& Steel) Co. post-1880. Site of No.8 Shaft now buried below residential car park, & No.7 shaft under grassland along S verge of Airbles Rd .
